Henrietta Abel Smith
Henrietta Abel Smith studied at Charles H Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy from 2009 to 2012. She works from her Chelsea studio producing a selection of exquisite still life paintings of floral subjects. Her meticulous, elegant and undoubtedly unique style is inspired by artists such as Fantin-Latour, William Nicholson and Emil Carlsen. She has an unrivalled passion for painting popular garden flowers; strongly influenced by time spent at home in the Cotswolds countryside and the flora expertise of her talented garden-designer mother.
Rapidly becoming recognized as a serious talent, Henrietta was awarded Winner of the ‘Young Artist’ award at The Society of Women Artists, Mall Galleries in 2014. Henrietta has also undertaken a variety of challenging life-size portrait commissions of prestigious sitters and her work sits in a variety of impressive UK collections.
