DOMINIC PARCZUK
Having originally trained at London’s Central Saint Martins College in fashion design, Dominic moved on to pursue a full time career as a painter.
Dominic paints from life, ‘en plein air’ and also from his studio located in East Yorkshire. His painting, through the genres of still life and landscape, explores the consistent relationship between light and dark, aiming to create exquisite works emanating both mood and nostalgia.
Working in oils, Dominic is proud to say he can produce work in one sitting; he aims to avoid over thinking or overworking a particular piece. His paintings are spontaneous and impressionistic scenes of everyday life – the end results are charming reminders of the simple pleasures of our everyday existence.
Dominic spent a year as Artist in Residence at Lincoln Cathedral between 2016-2017 culminating in a near sell-out exhibition of over fifty paintings and also as Artist in Residence at Doddington Hall in 2019, presenting a highly successful show of paintings alongside his residency.
